McPorts was founded in 2025 to bring a new standard of ships agency and chartering to Ireland. Built on the four decades of experience of our founder, Leo McParland, we work to help alleviate the pressures shipowners, operators, and traders every day.
Our mission is simple: to use the combined experience of our local and international teams to make every port call as smooth, predictable, and reliable as possible.
Our Story
Leo McParland spent his career navigating Ireland’s maritime landscape, building relationships with port authorities, terminals, and operators along the way.
McPorts was created on the back of this expertise and in combination with longstanding colleagues at VertomCory, resulting in a team with deep local knowledge, strong industry connections, and a commitment to operational excellence that spans Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
Today, we leverage our local experience with international reach, supporting clients across all sectors from cruise and cargo to offshore and naval operations.
